Complete the fifth phase in the same session
- Start a session and work through its phases with your team.
- Continue through the fifth phase instead of stopping as soon as you reach it.
- Complete that phase's required objectives and transition onward.
- Check for the unlock notification and verify that default Bubba Bubbaphant is available to select.
The target is not five separate sessions, and no lifetime count of five successful early phases is established here. Keep your attempt within the single-session requirement.
No specific squad size, character choice, or score total is included in Bubba's stated target. Those details should not be added as extra prerequisites without a current in-game requirement showing them.
Recognize Bubba in the roster

Bubba Bubbaphant is the blue elephant. He belongs to the four progression characters, so a new account can show him in the roster while leaving him unavailable to select.
The requirement concerns his default character. It does not require owning the Founders Pack.
Separate completion from reward delivery
A character-unlocked message and a selectable character are two checks. If you saw a notification but still cannot select Bubba afterward, preserve both pieces of information when describing the problem.
Record whether you completed phase five, whether the session continued beyond it, and whether an unlock message appeared. A screenshot of the locked roster is useful alongside the completion result.
There is no confirmed universal repair for a reward that fails to appear. Do not delete your progress or buy unrelated content on the assumption that either will force the unlock.
The shiny Bubba variant has another condition
To use the Founders Pack's shiny Bubba appearance, you need both the DLC and default Bubba unlocked. The pack does not bypass the phase-five objective. Once the default character is available, check the pack entitlement separately if only the alternate appearance remains locked.
