Arrange a team before entering the factory
The practical route is to meet other players in the game's community, agree to play, and use the same friend-invite process as an existing group. The Mob Entertainment Discord has an Escape from Playtime category where you can join the conversation.
- Find players who want the same kind of session: learning, casual exploration, or a coordinated run.
- Agree who will host, when you are starting, and how many people are joining.
- Exchange Steam profiles and add the people you intend to play with.
- Have the host invite the group, then confirm everyone has entered the same session before starting.

Set expectations for a new group
A session supports up to eight players in total, including the host. You do not need to assemble eight people just to begin. Choose a group size you can coordinate rather than waiting indefinitely for a full room.
Agree on your communication language and whether people will use microphones. Voice is proximity-based, so teammates who move away become harder to hear. A microphone is not required, but planning communication before the run is useful when you have never played together.
If you want automatic matchmaking
There is no confirmed launch option that replaces finding a group and using friend invitations. Changing the host will not create a public matchmaking queue. If adding people on Steam is not an arrangement you want to use, solo play remains available, with the limitations of a game designed mainly around cooperation.
